MICELLAR WATER BATTLE

As probably many of you, I’ve just discovered the micellar water – best product to get your eye makeup off without any fuss. Today I’d like tell you few words about 2 very popular micellar water I’ve recently tried – the La Roche-Posay Physiological Micellar Solution and already well known but rather new L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution.

Jak prawdopodobnie wiele z Was, w ostatnim czasie odkryłam płyny micelarne – idealne do zmywania makijażu oczu.

It was total coincidence that I’ve even got to know this product. It was attached as a free, but not so small sample [50ml] to something else I bought. From a lack of anything else hand I reached for this product and immediately fell in love with it. It made significant difference to my nighttime routine – no more struggling with mascara leftovers under my eyes.
It’s unscented and very gentle product – doesn't sting even when I accidentally put it right into my eye and removes everything easily. It takes the makeup off right away and also does not require rinsing off – it doesn't leave any residue on the skin. I’d say this product deserves more hype than it gets but it’s just a matter of time when all the Bioderma lovers discover this amazing alternative.
Bioderma.

L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution.
Just as I run out of my La Roche-Posay micellar water there begun a serious talk about the L'Oreal new water in the beauty community – I had to try it too! But to be honest, I wasn't as impressed as I expected.
This make up remover is also unscented, doesn't need rinsing of and gets the eye makeup off really nicely but I’m not crazy about it at all - with this one you have to hold the cotton pad on your eye for a while before the makeup is “resolved” and ready to come off. Heaving tried the other micellar water, it seems as a significant drawback for me. And although it’s supposed to be really gentle, sometimes it can sting my eyes when I’m not careful, which happened quite a few times since I’d been used to my previous, not-stingy-at-all micellar water from LRP.

All in all both product get the job done, but my money is on the La Roche Posey Physiological Micellar Solution. It’s a bit more pricey than the L'Oreal one, but in my, impatient and sensitive-eyed opinion – it’s definitely worth it.

What’s your opinion in the micellar water trend? Do you prefer it over other markup removers? I certainly do! Let me know what are your thoughts in the comments below!

    1. It's such a nice product - makes taking your eye makeup off so easy, even the waterproof version. ;) And it's usually very delicate and doesn't irritate the eye like some other makeup removers do.

  5. Have you tried Bioderma as well? I found that a bottle of Bioderma lasts much longer than my LOreal or Simple micellar waters.

  8. You know what, these micellar water products seem to have difficulties to reach my country. Besides Bioderma and recently Maybelline, I haven't found any brands selling their micellar water products in Indonesia :( While in the other hand, I wanna give them a try but so little option #womenproblem :p

  26. I'm so glad I read this! I also just got into cleansing waters and I had my eye on the L'Oreal one. I'm definitely gonna pass now. The formula sounds like the Simple versio . Which is okay. It just doesn't do much for eye makeup. I recently tried one by Vichy and it's sooo good! It removes all of my makeup (including mascara) and it's super gentle too. When I finish it, I'm gonna try the La Roche Posey on . It sounds really good!

    1. The LRP is just a bit more "pharmaceutical" brand and it's usually better suited for the skin type it says it is for - more like medicine than cosmetic if you know what I mean. Vichy is similar, focused on the skin, whereas L'Oreal is more known for their makeup and hair product. so maybe that's why it slightly loses in comparison to other brands in this case.
